Torino / International City

Internationalization over the last 15 years has been a success story for Torino, allowing the city to emerge and come to the fore at the European and international levels. That outcome can be boosted still by building a consistent framework for action to coordinate the efforts of the strategic players working in the field, as part of a strategy to leverage more from individual initiatives.
The international dimension encompasses the business sector, universities and research institutes, international training bodies, cultural institutions, the tourism sector, local international communities (from European and non-EU countries, both developing and developed) and the degree to which the local population is ‘international’ (the propensity to travel and knowledge of languages, especially English).
